The combination of marble’s soft pattern and sharp stone patterned furniture boldly gives an eye catching soul to this modern 400 square foot home for nine cats. Considering the combination of materials, Designer Tyrone uses Morandi colours to neutralize and further balances the overall impact by the mix and match of tinted mirrors and soft furniture.

Taking care of nine cats is not easy, especially for the owner who works day in and day out. The cats have to be alone for most of the time. The designer delicately added a cat staircase to the TV wall, and installed a 180-degree rectangular cat viewing platform on the ceiling, which greatly increases the space for cats to run and chase freely.

Safety and maintenance are the main concerns for the owner. We therefore added many design details to tackle the maintenance issue. For example, the backing board of the TV feature wall is made of waterproof material, and we also installed laminated flooring onto of existing wooden floor. These key works are to prevent vomit and urine from seeping into the wall and floor during the day, and for the ease of daily care.
