The designer uses grey as the base colour. The designer carefully chooses grey with different shades and brightness for layering, then matches them with some warm woody colours and natural stone patterns to create an elegant style, breaking the dull and boring impression that the grey colour usually gives. We have re-created the living and dining spaces on the first floor: the originally closed kitchen was turned into an open one, with a middle island connecting the dining table; the clear cement texture was used as the major tone of the living room and the guest toilet door was hidden by integration into the TV wall. These transformations serve to create a visual extension and add textural perceptions to greatly increase the sense of space and bring out the soft and natural feelings.

On the second floor are the bedrooms for the elders and the kids. The wall between the two bedrooms was removed and replaced by two connected large wardrobes, which would provide huge storage spaces and have sound insulation function at the same time. Children could have their own private spaces as they grow up.

The master bedroom on the third floor uses a wider area of wood tones to add a warm and cosy feeling. We have used the dressing table as a divider to build a walk-in closet within the limited space. Overall, the design of this unit takes a modest attitude to deliver a modern and fashionable vibe.
